Summer Career and Technical Education (CTE) Grant
These students are participating in a Summer Career and Technical Education (CTE) Grant along with Calallen, West Oso, and Flour Bluff School Districts. This Opportunity (for senior-level students) is to develop employability and on-the-job skills through the Pre-Apprenticeship raising Program (PATP), a work-based learning experience. Each student will receive 25 hours of "Essential Skills for the Workplace" training and interview with employers and begin a paid 8-week pre-apprenticeship program. These Sinton ISD students hold healthcare certifications earned, while attending Sinton High School. Through the CTE healthcare courses, the students earn certifications in Phlebotomy Technician, EKG/ECG Technician, Patient Care, and Medical Assistant.
