Sinton ISD Child Nutrition is dedicated to supporting the success of our students’ education and healthy lifestyles by providing quality, nutritious meals and excellent customer service.

 

Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. All meals, foods and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

For the 2023-2024 school year, The following Sinton ISD schools; Welder Elementary, Sinton Elementary, Smith Middle School and Sinton High School, will operate the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and provide breakfast and lunch to all Sinton ISD students at no charge.

Excellent Administrative Review Award No Findings

 

Sinton ISD Food Service Department has recieved an Excellent “No Findings” Administrative Review award from the Texas Department of Agriculture for the 2022-2023 school year! A “No Findings” determination is a worthy accomplishment that demonstrates dedication to providing high-quality meals and exceptional service. These efforts ensure the young Texans in our community have the nutrition they need to succeed.

 

2021 Local Foods TDA Recognized Farm fresh challenge participant

 

Sinton ISD Food Service department participated in the 2021 Farm Fresh Challenge; which is part of the Texas Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) Farm Fresh Initiative, a comprehensive effort that connects children to Texas agriculture.  Sinton ISD Food Service program has been recognized as a 2021 Farm Fresh Challenge participant and received this ‘digital’ badge of recognition for their participation.  Congratulations for completing this challenge and helping build a healthier future for our students and the great state of Texas.
