College Bound Freshman and Sophomores:

• Study and prepare for college admission exams.
• Take the PSAT, TSI, and ASVAB
• Visit the web sites of your top college choices and request admission and scholarship information.
• Talk to your parents about college costs and plan college visits.
• Make sure you understand the admission requirements for your top college choices.
• Study and keep your grades up!
• Be in school. Attendance is the key to success.

College Bound Juniors:

• Take the PSAT in the fall.
• Take the ACT and/or SAT in the spring
• Visit the web sites of your top college choices and request admission and scholarship information.
• Talk to your parents about college costs and plan college visits.
• Make sure you understand the admission requirements for your top college choices.
• Compile a resume and start obtaining letters of recommendation for scholarships and applications
• Check with your counselor to make sure you are on track and have required credits for graduation
• July 1st- first day to start applying for early admission

College Bound Seniors:

• Be aware of scholarship and admission application deadlines!
• Know how to request transcripts
• Visit with your counselor to ensure credits
• Visit the College and Career webpage to help you with the application process
• Check the status of your submitted admission application through the college website.
• Research financial aid and be prepared to submit your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon after Oct. 1st as possible.

All students and their parents are welcome to visit the Career Center for assistance with the college admission and financial aid process.
