We have had a busy week at Welder Elementary learning about the importance of making healthy choices and being drug-free for life. Sinton High School athletes greeted students on Monday and Tuesday morning during arrival. They also joined us on Thursday morning for a Red Ribbon Week Pep Rally. We are thankful to these students and their coaches for helping our students understand how being drug-free has a positive impact on reaching your goals in life.

Teachers and their students created some amazing Red Ribbon Week door displays for our door decorating contest. Congratulations to the winners of the contest: Mrs. Grant, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Flores, Miss Moore, Miss Hoyle, Mrs. Gentry, Mrs. Fishbeck, Miss Hunt, Mrs. Segovia and Mrs. Alaniz. Each class received an ice cream treat as their prize.
